We had a unwanted and unexpected little visitor on the neighborhood playground the other day....how yucky is he? Possums kind of creep me out. The kids went to throw something away on the playground and found this guy in the can. We were roped into the situation...Avery told me to get my camera right away and Chris was the designated wildlife releaser. I have to be honest i was alittle afraid that it was going to jump out of the can and attack one of the bazillion kids that were noisily circling it and squealing and pointing. But in the end i think the possum was way more afraid of the kids than they were of him.So, Really? What other wild animal is next....i am not sure i want to know.

Yuck!! Craig just did an imitation of what opossums do when you pull their tales while they're sleeping. (picture Craig with his eyes closed, baring his big sharp pointy rabid teeth). I'll take his word for it. I haven't gotten the full story yet, but when I asked him "how do you do that?" he replied "well when they're sleeping they're not too hard to catch" Smarty pants.
Possoms jsut remind me of the Rodents of Unusual Size from the Princess Bride. Still creepy.
I've only seen them as roadkill or about to be roadkill!
oh i like oppossums! we had one on the porch some years back that scared the crud out of me, it was so huge!! good to see you took pix!
