After reading the blogs of others for some time now, with much encouragement(you know who you are)I have decided to start one of my own now. I am no writer so there probably will not be anything witty or funny shared that does not come out of the mouth's of my children first. So please bear with me! This is going to be my way to keep up with our far away friends and family...my way to share what goes on in our lives. What does go on you might ask? Well I homeschool, we(Chris)are doing some painting and re-modeling. I try to sew and "craft".I am not that good at it but i try my hand at it often. I like to bake. I started homeschooling Avery this past fall. Like any homeschool mom will tell you, it has its ups and downs, but i don't regret our decision at all. We are learning as we go. Chris and i bought a house that needed a little re-work. So, between his grad school stuff and "life" we(read that, mostly Chris) have redone some of our house. Mostly the kitchen, several floors and lots of paint!!! As for that sew and craft claim, I am learning. I love the satisfaction of completing a sewing project, whatever it might be. I do lots of quilting and i am currently trying my hand at sewing purses/bags, and i have dreams of making lots of other things....like kids clothes and things for my house. Phew that was a mouthful! So to all of you who choose to read this, we love you and miss having you close. I hope you get some amusement out of what goes on at our house from day to day.
My name is Leslie. I live in Virginia. I am a wife to Chris, a super husband/great daddy/army officer/PhD candidate. I am a mother to three very exciting kids, Avery and Mitchell, ages 13 and 10 and "baby" Delilah who is 5. I am a little crafty. I love fabric, quilting and I love my friends and family. I hope here I can keep up with all of you that are so very far away.

thanks for coming by to read and check out what we are doing. Please, oh please, leave a comment and let me know that you were here. I love reading all of them...they are the highlight of this blog for me. I am so glad for each one. They let me know that we are reaching you, our friends and family that are not near.
