A Makeshift Start

Now you see it....

Now you don't!!!

I don't have a lot of time or space for sewing right now so i went with the makeshift solution...a little batting taped to the wall(seen this around blog land for awhile now) in the most inconspicuous place possible....behind my dining room door. It is not big enough to get the whole thing on the wall, but it helped me get an idea of what i wanted to do and a chance to see all the fabrics together. Every time i look at it i feel like i am looking at a Cath Kidston catalog!

Good idea ! Some people just don't get it when we turn the entire home over to our crafting projects.....HA !

They did such a good job designing a line just for YOUR daughter. Your really should stock up on it.......it won't be out for all that long, you know, and even though new designs come, THIS will ALWAYS be the Delilah line !

Hmmmmmm.....I should get PAID for his promotion.....LOL !

Colleen's word verification actually stood for "quilthid".

Hey remember how Avery wanted you to make her an under the sea quilt? And you were saying that most of it would be a ton of embroidery? Well if that's still on the list of things to do someday I ran across this blog http://www.shawkl.com/2011/01/uts-finished-jacques-block.html and she does a lot of quilt embroidery with How-to's and this particular post reminded me of the under the sea quilt. Just thought I'd pass it along :D

Great idea! (Now I'm thinking of all the doors in my house, and which one I might hide a design wall behind...) Love those fabrics! They do look very Kath Kidston, and really remind me of all that IKEA 'rosali' fabric I've been hoarding. Must make a quilt from that some day. Can't wait to see your progress on this one!

Ooooh, it's turning out fantastically! I'm still impressed with your choices of fabrics. I think the paisley is my favorite, it's SO cute!
