It is always good to know that a quilt has made it to its new home, but in this case i feel a certain sense of relief...because this quilt found a new home in Vermont. A place that has been unexpectedly torn apart by the flooding and aftermath of Hurricane Irene.
It is so good to know that its new family is safe and dry and that they are all ok. If you have a moment go on over and check out TJ's blog. She lives in the middle of it all.

It is so nice to stop in. Hope all is wonderful....
that's a great quilt Leslie! and it's great that it is in a home that will love it.
It looks great Leslie! I'm sure they will appreciate it.
Fabulous use of those children in the line - love the colors you chose for the other strips as well.
Love, love, love this quilt...I know it will be cherished.
is it bad to admit Leslie, that Bear and I have been using it as a safe warm place to cuddle through this chaos?! I promise to put it in a safe place until the babe comes- we just had to try it out, you know ;)
So glad you posted this because it deserves lots of attention with all it's gorgeous colors and I know it will take me a few days to get to it up (just like I STILL need to get your package in the mail.)
Anyway, thank you!! You're the best, XOXOXO
PS: you did it again, cheering me up with a sweet post during a dreary time: more rain tonight and so I am online at this late hour checking to see how my neighbors are faring- hearing our bank may have been swallowed up by the river... lovely.
Glad to hear this beautiful quilt made it to its new home and being put to good use already. Such fun fabrics you've used too. What's the backing fabric?
So pretty!
Happy Labor Day to you and the family!
