She is at it again...making my job easier! I had a ton of pre-cut vintage sheet squares that i had gotten in a swap last year and i was waiting to do something with them....so instead of working on the quilts i should be working on, i started this one. I think it will be a picnic blanket...it is big enough to sit on but small enough that it should not be too hard to carry around.
I did it brown bag style....just threw them all in a bag and pulled them out randomly, so that i was not paralyzed with indecision about how to arrange them...also the reason i got Avery involved. She can lay everything out in way less time than i can.
Hopefully i will have more pictures soon of it bordered and done!

Leslie, I love, love, love this quilt. Those vintage sheets look so great all together!
This quilt is going to be one of my favorites that you've made.
OH I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY LOVE THIS quilt!!!!! FANTASTIC!!! I can't wait to see it done!!
I wondered when these would make an appearane--and I love the idea of teh "Brown bag method" :) It looks beautiful!
great job, both of you! I still haven't started my quilt for Zoe's room... we have to finish the deck first :) Your art post made me want to go back to the Louvre! Although, DC is a lot closer :)
I agree with everyone...I love this quilt too!!! Seeing it in person brought memories streaming back of my childhood and sheets Mom had and the flowered ones I still have from the 70's
still have? are these sheets still in use? i think i have one of the old pillowcases
Leslie---I LOVE this so much. Do you think I could commission Avery to lay out a quilt top for me? :) I'm going to steal your brown bag idea---and also your picnic blanket idea. I've been wanting to just use up all my scrap fabric for something useful--a picnic blanket would be great!
still have. somewhere.
