I really love vintage fabrics and vintage look fabrics. So this line by American Jane for Moda called Wee Play is one of my favorites. I have had several charm packs of this line and did not know what to do with them until i saw this quilt on flickr and was inspired, she made an amazing quilt. I had to make one. I used her color layout as a base but had to change things around in the patterns to accomodate the extra fabric i was using.
I used three charm packs, and it came out to about 50x60. I think they should be called cheater packs because they are so easy to use and make such pretty little quilts even when you use them in their simplest form, uncut. My quilt model kept peeking over the back.
And for the cherry....Avery was eating some of the sweetest tastiest cherries and found this little pair stuck together. She wanted me to be sure to take a picture before she ate them. We are snacking all day long on the yummy summer fruits.

Leslie, I love, love, love that little quilt. I especially like the way the colors were placed. Very pretty.
I was going to write just about the same thing as Colleen! When I clicked on the blog and saw this quilt---oh my gosh! It sounds corny to say it just about took my breath away. LOVE IT! My first thought was "rainbow".
It's soooo pretty. I searched wee play cos I have no idea how I am going to piece together a baby quilt with my charm pack. I hope mine turns out as gorgeous as yours!
Oh my! This is perfect!

Love the quilt! This would be a good group project -- assigning a different color/value to each person and then sewing their completed rows together. Could provide some interesting results!
my kind of quilt!! love it!!! reminds me of the log cabin pattern with the light and dark and the color scheme you chose. nice!
