This little guy(titmouse) had a unfortunate run in with my backdoor slider this week. Hard enough that he left some feathers behind. i was washing up some dishes and then i heard the crash. And there he/she sat on my patio...still and scared! Poor little thing...he just sat there and looked at me like, "what are you going to do now?". Then the kids gathered around...you can imagine that this did nothing to settle his nerves. But, maybe his brain was addled from hitting the window so hard that he did not notice. The three kids were so concerned, and we were all soon relieved to see that this little guy got his head straightened out and he flew off again to join his friends...about half and hour later.

Poor little guy. I saw some pretty cool window clings on etsy the other day, they might keep the birds from hitting your doors.
Cutest caring and concerned kids I've seen today! What an awesome encounter with something they might not have gotten that close to any other way. Not that I'm hoping other birds, or larger animals, crash into your windows or house...but it's a neat "life" moment! Thanks for sharing it with us!
oh look, our old friend the titmouse again! You may hold the record for the most blog posts about titmice :) Joshua really likes them, so keep em coming!
Also, I tried to comment (again) on your last post and tell you that I love your ruler hanging thingy!
Oh you didnt tell me you got pictures! Cute! I love the pictures of the kids. Where's Mitchie? Elijah is so excited about seeing all of them.
Glad to hear that the little guy was okay. How cute ....
Aww! Your kids are so cute all huddled around the birdy! I'm glad he was okay. I actually had the same thing happen on my front porch last week, but I'm sad to report that the results were fatal :( Glad your kids got to see a happy ending instead!
Oh I do hate when that happens. The entire back of our house is glass and we have encounters (sometimes in one day) with everything from tiny birdies to giant hawkes. Sometimes they make it - sometimes not. So happy this little guy was not a casualty. (Look at those little sweet kids observing him!)
When did you have additional children?
I kind of want to snuggle and squeeze that little birdie. So cute
those are Sean's little ones...they live right around the corner
