You all know how i love a bird!!! Today i was determined to find some eagles. My aunt was here yesterday and we spotted them from high above the river. The weather was so nice today so as soon as we finished school we packed up our outdoor birding gear and headed down to the river.
Granted it is not always easy to spot birds with a 4 year old in tow. He does not understand the meaning of,"shhh, don't scare that bird!"
We spotted a eagles nest across the river in the tip top of a tree. It is not easy to direct them to things that they have to see through the binoculars. Somehow they both spotted it. We had seen several other birds(cardinal, woodpecker, mockingbird) but no eagles. We packed up and headed down the road and on the way out i pulled over and spotted these two.

Wow... not only did you get the picture, but they are doing something that you don't normally get to see. Very cool!
How fun is that?! I love that you guys just got out there. Very fun. Sounds like you are having fun on the quilting front also. It is fun to have more than one thing going on. The problem is I only showed a few of my things going on. :) It's fun though! Have a great night!
That's great you can see so many birds. I see owls sometimes on my evening run along the canal. Kinda cool since I live in the middle of the city.
How cool that was!! I've seen one in Maine a few years back. I know a lot are hanging around the Hudson these days.
that is really awesome Lez! I want to come play with you guys!!!!!!!!
