I Swear it is a Sickness

But I confess it is a sickness i don't mind having. If you have read my blog for any amount of time you already know that i just can not help myself i just get excited about pretty fabric.

I am sure Hobby Lobby is old news for many of you, but this weekend i went for the first time ever. The whole place was big and overwhelming...but the fabric department held a few treasures. I love these little vintage reproduction bundles.

I was beyond excited to find this Ginger Blossom corduroy on the clearance rack for $2 a yard. I did not even know they made this in corduroy. It is so soft and so pretty. I bought all that they had left on the bolt....about 3-4 yards. I have a plan in mind. I have been wanting to make a bag with a friend, same one that i had been making a quilt with, and i think this will be just what i was looking for.

While the girls were looking at fabric, the boys went and found a new toy of their own. I think they said it was a slot car track. As you can see it was a hit...it kept them busy for a large part of our lazy sunday afternoon.

I have a few projects i am trying to work on for the house...curtain, pillow covers a small quilt topper. hopefully i can share later this week.

I can't wait to see and hear about all of your house projects. The fabric is lovely and the close up picture turned out really well. You can see the lines of the corduroy so nicely. I'll call you later!

I love Hobby Lobby, too. I have found a few bolts of Michael Miller and Alexander Henry fabrics mixed in with their other cottons and they are always 30% off.

Make sure to go to their website and most weeks you can get a 40% off any item coupon.

Great finds! If you look, they often have great treasures hiding in their rows of fabric. Even some of their house prints are really cute. I always get it on sale or with their coupon.

HL is a staple here! One of my favorite fabrics comes from them. I miss the train and car tracks on the floor stage! Now it's "I need gas in the car"......lol

Can't wait to see what you're making now!

First time ever? How is that even possible? HObby Lobby at Christmas is dangerous.

The slot car track is pretty fun too...

Nice fabrics! Sadly, they don't have any stores out this way. Maybe that's a good thing. :-)

The only reason I sew is so that I can buy more fabric. Is that bad?

Love the Ginger Blossom! I waited too long and they sold out at my HL. They also stock Kona Cotton, which is almost always 30% off.

I didn't know Hobby Lobby had fabric...interesting. I thought it was only rockets and remote control airplanes...good to know. LOVE the fabric...you have such good taste!
