Ho Ho Ho...!?!?
I have slowed way way down on fabric buying. There is so much out there that i love(like this and this and this to name a few) but i am so unmotivated to sew and my output is so low right now that i can not justify it. But this one fabric has been on my mind for quite awhile...12 Days of Christmas by Kate Spain. I know, Colleen(my sister)...me buying Christmas fabric....what?!?!?!
I have in the past, mocked and gagged and rolled my eyes a little at Christmas fabric...or really any holiday or season specific fabric. Sorry! Don't be offended if you love them. It is me not you! I know that there are lots of beautiful seasonal fabrics out there made by super talented designers...and more than that there are so many beautiful quilts and other things made by great fabric artists and super talented sewers. I just can't, or should say, couldn't do it. Until i saw this line of Christmas fabric. With this, i was converted!!!
I bought the 10 inch layer cake, so it is planned to be a simple quilt. Just gonna mix them up, maybe let Avery lay it all out for me. You can stop laughing now Colleen.

I bought a lot of this collection too...a couple charm packs, layer cakes and the kit! It's my favorite winter collection from Moda this year! I look forward to seeing your quilt.
Yay for Christmas fabric. I kind of wish it was Christmas now. Can't wait to see what magic Avery and you weave!
OKAY that is hilarious - mostly because I thought the same way you did. I too felt the same way about Christmas fabrics. And do you know what's the funniest part of all this?????
I BROUGHT THE SAME PACK!
12 Days Of Christmas Charm Pack - I got it from Piece N Quilt just the other day!
I'm planning to make a simple quilt out of it too. Not quite sure yet, but the colors and cuteness of this pack really caught me eye. Can't wait to see yours!
aghhhhhhh........you're getting OLD ! You're weakening ! What next......cheater's cloth?
Just kidding......I bet it's that blue in it that won you over !
first off-loved the camping post and pictures! I know, I'm lame for not posting there, but hey, you know me! lol looks like they had a blast!
secondly, I've already made my Christmas list and talked to Santa this week, so holiday fabric is not a stretch! especially when it is that cute!
love your blog and your attitude!
I laughed because I am not really interested in Christmas fabrics but I have had a sneaky eye on that one for some reason!
hehehehehe
hahahahaha
hohohohoho
snicker, snicker
heeeeeheeee
Nope still can't stop... hahahaha!!
I'm right there with ya, but that 12 days design is pretty neat.
Yah, I'm with ya on the Christmas fabric. Not for me either. Maybe this year will be the year.
For some reason the picture isnt showing up. I will have to check back later.
Great camping pictures!
The aqua caught her eye!!!! It really is nice. Different shades of Christmas colors and I thought a bit retro. It will make the perfect "back of the sofa" quilt.
I know how you feel about Christomas fabric. The one that I fell for was by Sherri Berry. Totally non-traditional, and made me think of '70's Christmas' of long ago!
Blessings,
KT
I really like the fabrics, very cute.
Oh my I got a boat load (for free) of this entire fabric line on a recent shop hop, I am sorry to admit it, I gave it all away! Wish I had known you then I'd have sent it to you:)
Ha! I love the idea of a Christmas quilt (it's on my list!). I don't do much else in the way of decorating, except the tree and maybe a few nick-nacks, so being able to decorate with something that is *also* useful seems like a worthwhile thing to do! I'm hoping I can get one done in time for next Christmas. Here's wishing us both luck!
mwah-ha-haaa! i see my christmas plan is working ;) whoops, did i say that out loud?
seriously...thank you so much for picking up a layer cake of 12 Days and for seeing beyond the merry winterness of it and into all the fun of the season i tried to squish in there. i just started a 12 Days flickr group, so whenever you have something to share, please post pictures! http://www.flickr.com/groups/12daysofchristmas/
Happy Sewing to you, and Merry (not even close) Christmas! hugs, kate
That's great fabric! I made a Christmas quilt last year... love it still. I am thinking about making the wreath on moda bake shop, for my mom, this year. if I have time. :)
once i saw this line it made me sad that i could not justify purchasing it. it is really beautiful christmas fabric!
