These are what i have been working on this week. I sort of set the sewing machine aside for a little bit to try out some of my new knitting skills, amateur as they may be. These are the yarns i showed before that i knew were destined for fingerless gloves and here they are. My sweet little model wore the adult ones so they are a little large for her. I will be making her a matching pair, by request, soon. What i loved the best about these was that they did not involve double pointed needles or knitting in the round, since that was way too complicated for me.

Those are so cute! I won't need them here though! I'm working on my gifts today in between going to Costco and laundry.
Oh Lez--those are so cute! Great job and I love the yarn...You are a rock star! I've missed you, but really, remember if blogging isn't fun at times, don't do it. Life's too short and full to force additional tasks on yourself.
Will Avery's be the same yarn?
thanks mary. yes, avery will have ones in the same sunset color yarn.
the gloves look awesome Leslie!! I LOVE the way the yarn looks.
Leslie ~
I haven't ever been to your blog before, but I loved the "little ditty" you quoted on your comment over at As We Walk, and included it in my Cozy Up For Christmas post. I assume it's most polite to let you know I linked over to you!
Happy knitting,
~ Tami
Love the finished product that I saw up close and personal the other day. they are looking great!!
Make lots of them, Leslie, because company is coming!
Oh LOVELY! They look like sherbert!
hey leslie,
you asked about the paint color on my buffet it's ralph lauren "kaki" ul60 i got it at home depot. thanks for stopping by my blog! -v
very impressive Leslie. Colleen's right. make more.
I love them, Leslie. And how funny---I made myself a pair of fingerless gloves this week too. Kindred spirits?
I meant to say Jerm can you use a pair of those for fishing on cold days...well maybe not the sherbert colors though. He isnt in touch with his feminine side.
COME ON, they're one word answers! Just kidding, you don't have to do it if you don't want to, and I'll still heart your bloggy.
super cute gloves. where'd you find the pattern? I'd love to make some for me and I have lots of yarn looking for a good home (like, on my hands)(or wrists). Sorry you're not feeling too bloggy - some days I just slap up some pics for Craig and don't feel like doing much else. Or don't do anything and just check out others' blogs for inspiration, which usually does just the opposite because I see all the things I'm NOT doing and feel even more defeated! Even though I know that's totally not the case as my two little angels are sleeping sweetly in a warm happy home :)
How great would it be if we could both sit on a couch, holding hot drinks, wearing your pretty fingerless mittens?! I've always felt a person wearing mittens makes them irresistible to hugs-- so we'll have to have some pretty coasters on hand to set our hot drinks down and participate in a hugfest- if my theory is true, your mittens will incite nothing less than a hugfest.
These are too cute! Great choice of yarn color!
fabulous! i can only knit straight, as in lots of scarves and i am working on a shawl which is really a LARGE scarf!!!
for some reason i can only sign on to your blog via my camp fire blog, this is still leslie from chasing bluebirds, in case you are confused!
:)
