We got news this past week that my grandpa was not doing so great and was in the hospital. We are fortunate to live pretty close to them right now so we packed up and headed out for the weekend so that we could drop in and say hello, love on him a little and make sure he was doing ok. Mitch felt the need to snap a picture of himself!
We got to visit and the kids made him pictures and we brought him apples, his preferred snack!
We just wanted the chance to be there for him. It also was a great time to visit with my grandmother, lots of aunts and uncles and cousins from in and out of town. It was a short trip but there are so many people, even if the visits are quick, that it seems like you were there way longer. In a good way of course.
I wanted to get some pictures of him, even in a hospital bed. He is a good subject, don't you think? We love him and just hope that he feels better and gets back on his feet.

Thanks for the pictures, Les. For being in the hospital, he looks pretty good. I know that seeing Avery and Mitch did him a world of good.
You made me cry with these pics. I'm so glad you all were able to go and visit too. He does look pretty good Colleen. He was talkative and cracking jokes through all the visits.
What a CUTE grandpa you have! Grandpas are precious, I miss mine!
