Mother's Day Outing's

I know i am a little behind, but we have had a long week despite the fact that i can not really recall all the things that kept us busy. YOU know how that goes? My sweet little family was wonderful on mother's day. Hubs made sure that the whole day was only what i wanted to do and anything that i wanted to do. It was a full day.

They brought me breakfast of my choosing....we went to church...that was followed shortly by an outing to a local nature center and preserve. We had the pleasure of letterboxing with the kids. So much fun. We have not done it in a long time and it was fun since they are so much older. You should check it out here. They had fun following the clues and hunting down the boxes. We were thrilled to find families of geese all over the grounds. Those fuzzy goslings are adorable.

We attended a talk on these cool american toads. I love them. I used to go hunting for them with my cousins. Mitch especially loved it. When they let it down on the floor Avery was not too sure anymore. As soon as he moved she had her feet up in her chair with her. What a girl!!

This was followed by a early dinner at a local Italian restaurant, a trip to Barnes and Noble where i got to pretend i was alone for about 45 minutes, and then we went to see the movie Earth. Very cool. It was busy and full but we enjoyed every minute. And my sweet little family surprised me with a watercolor painting from a local artist that i have been admiring for quite a long time. I love it. That coupled with THE quilt was more than i expected or imagined. I love being with them and watching the kids explore the world. Happy late mother's day to all you mommy's out there.
