We took a impromptu picnic to the river today. The breeze blew, our table was in the shade and we stayed for hours.
We find her in this position so often....sketchbook in hand, watching the boats on the river, writing down her thoughts and sketching what she sees. She was calling this spot her thinking rock today.
i love this face!! And these feet together. Everyone was just enjoying time out together.

you sometimes have to teach them how to make fire, before you can teach them the valuable skill of fighting it...a few weeks ago, the kids at the top of their swing set spotted a fire on the property behind us, a literal forest fire...i had to run next door to put the neighbors back lawn out and keep his fence from burning down ;) just another boring day of home schooling, you know :)
Love these pictures. Avery is so cute with that journal. I can't wait to see how that develops over the years.
