i saw this project a few weeks ago(
here) and wanted to give it a try. It seemed like a fun and easy idea. I always wish i could think this stuff up, but it seems i can only follow directions. Yesterday i gave it a try. I think it took me a whole whopping 15 minutes of work. The only thing that is keeping me from making a ton more for Avery and myself is that i am terrified of my sewing machine. In my opinion it is very tempermental and i am always afraid of projects that have much thickness to sew through....it clunks a little. This was made from scraps of a vintage pillowcase. I had some left over from a sheet swap i joined. It is reversible too. I think she loves it. She even planned todays outfit around it.

so cute! you're in a sheet swap?? sounds awesome!(especially to a fellow fabric addict) my machine clunks a little sometimes too...but so far its hanging in there :)
i am so excited about the sheet swap...i will be getting 200 6" sqares by the end of August....all kids. I can't wait. I did not know you were addicted. How fun to share that. I made it clunk hard just now. i am always afraid it will not sew the next time.
Avery looks cute with the headband. Of course, she always looks cute! You're like me in this way...can't think it up but can follow directions. I usually have to have someone show me first though.
Cute headband and cute girl! And the sheet swap? Jealous. I saw one that looked fabulous but it was just complete. Sad. Bet you can't wait to see your stash!
What a cute headband! My sewing machine clunks a little bit too, but I just keep sewing with it. I figure if it breaks it is a sign that I need a new one! ;)
