The Best Breakfast

I think Saturday breakfast just got a little better. I was gifted with a ebelskiver pan for my birthday and this weekend we finally had the chance to try it out....what filling will i use? powdered sugar or icing? So many decisions. These were so light and yummy.....i filled them with nutella, homemade jam and some yummy apple butter my sister made. The only downside, there were not enough. It is possible that we could have eaten these all morning long.

And for more breakfast yumminess go check out this blog, Kate's weekend breakfast looks amazing.

Love it! My daughter got one of these ebelskiver pans for her birthday, too! I'll have to invite myself over for some one of these days! I copied and pasted your blog for her to visit you. She's also almost 8 months prego with our first grandchild, a boy! I got a kick out of your crafty person who made people! I love your mug rug, too!

Will you make some for me next time I come to visit? I'd ask you to bring the pan with you next time you are at my house, but that won't work will it? Stupid oven!

That is a yummy breakfast! It is our Christmas tradition, which has been expanded to any other special day. We never fill ours, though. We just have them plain with powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, and butter. So good!

Oh darn, just when I had forced myself to forget about ebelskivers and how awesome it would be to have one of those in my house I read this blog post! Resistance is futile - I must have one!

My mom used to make these when I was kid, always filled with apple sauce.
