i knew right away when i saw the sewing activity that this was the one Avery would want to make. The lesson said to make a prehistoric hunter's "game bag". I did not have any animal print fabric but i did have this one that looks like scales. Which was perfect since the girl in the story was catching lizards with hers.
Avery did a super job. She sewed it herself(with Hello Kitty) and threaded the drawstring as well. I was proud of her and so was she. It now is tucked away in her hiking/nature bag that she made in case she catches anything while she is outside. I hope she does not bring me home a lizard. Sewing makes school so much fun!!!

I love it and Avery did such a great job making the bag!!!
you are amazing, my dear, sweet, creative friend. Could you please come up here and teach me and Charlotte how to use a sewing machine?
fun! You are pretty amazing, Avery!
Avery, Grammie is very proud of you too! I think that bag turned out very well. Now, go and find a lizard to put in it and surprise Mommy!!!
She looks so cute and so proud of herself. I love the lizard bag. Julia was very intrigued and also very excited to hear that Avery is doing the same history as we are.
Love it! We're going to make a trapper's bag soon. I'm going to have to look for a pattern for that. Wish me luck!
I can't believe that you guys are getting ready to sell the house! Has it been that long already? You guys are so creative. I wish I had the time to be creative with you!!!!
We miss you bunches
How fun! I wish I had been home schooled. What a great time together...and quite the lovely bag!
