Do you know how lucky you are to have a husband, and now 2 children that use power tools? The presence of power tools in my home always comes with a hefty bill from the handyman.... :) I would marry a handyman if I didn't already have plans to marry a masseuse.
I have plans to send Grant out with a plank of wood and a bunch of nails. He helped me put together a bookcase a couple of days ago and got such a kick out of it that I thought he'd like to try some more building.
I am almost completely power tool illiterate-- so when I saw the picture of Avery with the sander, I did think it was a saw. I stared at that picture thinking, "Maybe I'm sheltering my children too much? Could I really let them use a saw? No. I really couldn't. Am I a bad mother?..." On it went until I found your appreciated disclaimer at the bottom... "phew!"... for lots of reasons.
My name is Leslie. I live in Virginia. I am a wife to Chris, a super husband/great daddy/army officer/PhD candidate. I am a mother to three very exciting kids, Avery and Mitchell, ages 13 and 10 and "baby" Delilah who is 5. I am a little crafty. I love fabric, quilting and I love my friends and family. I hope here I can keep up with all of you that are so very far away.

I love reading all of them...they are the highlight of this blog for me. I am so glad for each one. They let me know that we are reaching you, our friends and family that are not near.

Awesome! That's great fun!!
I love power tools and I hope my kids get that gene from me, cause my hubby does not have it! LOL!
Were they sanding just because or is the wood for something? They seem to be enjoying it. I did recognize the saw!
