This morning i am thankful for my very good kids( in general because they certainly have their moments!), and for a successful and peaceful school morning. Can you see her concentrating on her writing?
Even Mitchell who does not like to do school with us got caught up in sorting and counting marbles from our mancala game, and he counted them right, hooray!. He did that for quite a while, which meant Avery and i were able to get some work done with no distractions. Thanks for being accommodating buddy.

hopefully over the next few yrs you inspire me with all your homeschool stories. Right now I'm torn. I know it's the right thing for us, for many reasons, but I selfishly want to have some time off once they turn 5!
i watched my sister, who homeschooled, and always thought that i would want that time off too but now that it is here, i don't feel that way. I guess there are times when you want a break but you find one some other way. And the kids want time away from you too...they go off and play together and i get time alone, and thank goodness for naps. What a lifesaver. It is not right for everyone but it sure can be sweet.
mancala is addictive. So is your blog.
cutiepies!!
Oh, those wonderful quiet mornings. We haven't had enough of those lately. Seems we're always hurrying out the door.
